The pre-school clinic,held at Baaley School on March I, proved to he very successful. By 8:30 in the morning parents and pre-school children began com ing in the school for the program. School trucks were used for tran sporting parents and children to school. Members pf the B.T.A.also cooperated with us in getting par ents here. The parents and child ren were entertained the entire day. In addition to the first grade room,the whole school was opened to the visitors. Almost every classroom was visited by parents during the day. A program was given in the au ditorium by the first grade,The music department and fifth grade Colso gave numbers on the program. Supt. Inscoe talked to the parents on beginners and first grade work while the pre-school children were in the first grade room. The home economic department served lunch to the beginners and parents. After lunch the Health Officer and Nurse met the parents and--- children in the first grade room. Dr. Coppedge talked to the parents about the importance of having the children physically ready for entrance in the fall. After the talk, the children were examined and given the toxoid treatment for diphtheria. The pre-school children were given little out out favors by the liist grade teacher_^^ ' ( Cent. on page 2 ) Tuesday morning,Mar,BO the eigh th grade took charge of the chapel program. Annie Ruth Vick read the Bible. Me had two very interesiing poems. A group of eighth grade girl; sang "Mississippi Valley Blues" ac companied by Elsie Owens. Four gir.' gave a very”funny" dramatization ci "Ivlary had a little lambV The progr. was thoroughly enjoyed by all stu dents , Tuesday,Mar.B7 the eleventh grade gave a program that was entirely different from any of the programs that v/e have had this year. The de votional was conducted by Rachael Bissette, The program consisted of book reviews. This was done in orde? to get the students Interested in rl the great num.ber of books in the library. I think this aroused enough curiosity to get some of the books out that they summarized in chapel. Estelle Brantley On March 14, the high school v/as very fortunate to have Reverends Boone and Guice for chapel. Special music was given b3r Rev, Guice'vmich was enjoyed by all. Rev.
